Statement of Faith – Ecclesia of Christ Fellowship
We are a covenant-based fellowship committed to restoring and living out the original blueprint of the Ecclesia as established by Jesus Christ and the apostles—participatory, Spirit-led gatherings in homes and simple settings, devoted to fellowship, teaching, breaking of bread, prayer, mutual edification, and radical care for one another.
The Scriptures
We affirm the Bible—both Old and New Testaments—as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as our sole foundation for doctrine, reproof, correction, spiritual formation, and the ordering of the Ecclesia.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
God
We believe in one eternal, sovereign God who exists in three co-equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—the Triune God, Creator of heaven and earth. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, fully revealed in Jesus Christ and present among His people through the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 45:5-6)
Jesus Christ
We proclaim Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully man—born of the virgin Mary, who lived a sinless life, was crucified as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of humanity, was resurrected bodily on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to establish His eternal Kingdom. He is the Head of the Ecclesia and the sole Mediator of the New Covenant.
(John 1:1-14; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 9:15)
The Holy Spirit
We affirm the Holy Spirit as the active, personal presence of God in the world—convicting of sin, regenerating believers, sanctifying the faithful, indwelling them as a seal, and empowering the Ecclesia for holy living, witness, and spiritual service.
(John 16:8-11; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 1:13-14; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:11)
Salvation
We believe all humanity has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Redemption is received solely by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is God’s free gift and cannot be earned by human works.
(Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 2:38; John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5)
Sanctification
We pursue progressive holiness through obedience to Christ, spiritual disciplines, and the transforming power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Ecclesia is called to be set apart as a holy people—non-conformed to the world, reflecting the character and mission of Christ amid potential persecution and trials, with joyful endurance as faithful witnesses.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 12:14; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Matthew 5:10-12; 2 Timothy 3:12; Romans 12:2)
The Ecclesia (The Church)
We affirm the Ecclesia as the gathered, covenant-bound body of believers—participatory, Spirit-led, and devoted to one another in simple, relational settings such as homes or informal gatherings. Every believer functions as part of the royal priesthood, contributing hymns, teachings, exhortations, revelations, and service for mutual edification. We reject hierarchical domination and restore the New Testament pattern of mutual ministry, fellowship, teaching, breaking of bread, prayer, and service—emphasizing the priesthood of all believers and no clergy-laity divide.
(Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Peter 2:9; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Peter 2:5,9)Stewardship of Resources and Mutual Aid
We commit to radical sharing of possessions, caring for the needy (widows, orphans, the vulnerable), and ensuring no one among us lacks—modeling the early church’s communal life as stewards of God’s gifts for the common good.
(Acts 4:32-35; James 1:27; Acts 2:44-45; Deuteronomy 15:4)
Covenant Legacy
We commit to transmitting our spiritual, doctrinal, legal, and health protocols faithfully across generations. Our creeds, ceremonies, and youth pledges are preserved through remembrance, public affirmation, and diligent stewardship.
(Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Psalm 78:4-7; 2 Timothy 2:2; Proverbs 22:6)
Resilience, Readiness, and Lawful Defense
We prepare responsibly for crisis response, community activation, and the protection of life, affirming lawful self-defense under the Constitution and state laws, the moral duty to protect the weak and vulnerable, peaceful and transparent preparedness, and reproducible protocols accessible even to those with no prior experience. Our readiness is grounded in stewardship, love for neighbor, the sanctity of life, and joyful endurance under pressure as the early believers faced persecution.
(Exodus 22:2-3; Nehemiah 4:14-18; Luke 22:36; Romans 13:1-4; 1 Timothy 5:8; Proverbs 24:11-12; Matthew 5:10-12)
The Return of Christ
We eagerly await the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the full establishment of His eternal Kingdom. Until that day, we live as faithful stewards of His covenant and His people.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-4; Titus 2:13)
